National Football Post

Former Illinois coach Ron Zook has been hired by the Green Bay Packers as outside linebackers coach as the replacement for Kevin Greene, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Zook is a former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator for two seasons.

Zook was fired by Illinois following the 2011 season.

Zook is a former Pittsburgh Steelers special-teams coach and Kansas City Chiefs secondary coach.

He worked on the same staff with Packers coach Mike McCarthy in New Orleans.
