GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Packers have placed Casey Hayward on injured reserve, ending a tough season for the second-year cornerback.
Hayward has been bothered all season by a hamstring injury. He played just three games, starting one. Hayward led rookies last season with a team-high six interceptions.
Green Bay has just four interceptions this season, tied for worst in the league with the Texans and Jaguars.
The Packers also placed reserve cornerback James Nixon (knee) on injured reserve, and activated safety Sean Richardson and defensive end Jerel Worthy from the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
Green Bay (5-5) will try to end a three-game losing streak when the Minnesota Vikings (2-8) visit Lambeau Field. Scott Tolzien will get the start again for injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers (collarbone).
