Miami Marlins reliever Juan Carlos Oviedo vowed to resume his career under his actual name.
Oviedo pitched his first seven seasons as Leo Nunez. His 2011 season ended in September after officials discovered he had been playing under an assumed name.
The right-hander was issued a visa last week in the Dominican Republic. Back in the United States, received an eight-week suspension from MLB for age and identity fraud.
He is eligible to rejoin the Marlins on July 23 and expects to be ready.
"With my name Juan Carlos Oviedo, I'm the same guy," he told reporters through a Spanish translator. "It's the same arm."
