Jimmy Graham had a big day receiving, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss for the Saints against the Jets, 26-20, in East Rutherford.
Drew Brees had a solid day going 30 for 51 with 382 yards passing, two touchdowns and two picks. Geno Smith completed 8 of 19 passes for 115 yards, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush) and no interceptions for the Jets.
Pierre Thomas ran for 24 yards on six attempts in addition to seven receptions for 66 yards. Graham was a leading receiver, hauling in nine balls for 116 yards with two scores.
The New Orleans defense managed to contain the passing game, but could not slow down the rushing attack, giving up 140 yards passing and 198 rushing. They sacked Smith two times.
Jets running back Chris Ivory was impressive, churning out 139 yards rushing and one touchdown.
The Saints are at home to take on the Cowboys (5-4) next week while the Jets travel to Orchard Park to meet the Bills (3-6).
