The Saints were nipped by the Patriots, 30-27, in Foxborough.
Drew Brees found the end zone two times on 17 of 36 passing for 236 yards and one pick. Tom Brady ended up going 25 of 43 with 269 yards passing, one touchdown and one pick for the Patriots.
Khiry Robinson gained 53 yards on seven carries with a touchdown. Kenny Stills caught three passes for 64 yards with a touchdown.
The New Orleans defense surrendered 141 yards rushing and 235 passing. They harassed Brady with five sacks.
Patriots running back Stevan Ridley was impressive, racking up 96 yards rushing, 14 receiving and two touchdowns. Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui also put together a noteworthy performance with 57 receiving yards.
The Saints will play host to the Bills (2-4) next week while the Patriots head to East Rutherford to face off with the Jets (3-3).
