Orioles trade minor leaguer McCurry to Braves

The Baltimore Orioles traded minor league left-handed pitcher Cole McCurry to the Atlanta Braves for cash, MASN Sports reported Saturday.

McCurry is 0-7 with an ERA of 6.10 this year, mainly at Class AA Bowie, but he moved up to Class AAA Norfolk on June 5. He was then added to the short-season Class A Aberdeen roster June 9 but has not been active since.

Prior to this season, the 26-year-old went 38-33 with an ERA of 3.44 in his minor league career. McCurry was a 43rd round draft pick of the Orioles in 2007.
