Orioles' Betemit leaves game with knee injury

The SportsXchange

Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Wilson Betemit had to be helped off the field after he suffered a sprained right knee in Monday's game with the Boston Red Sox.

The Baltimore Post reported Betemit was diagnosed with a Grade 2/3 PCL tear, although there was no indication of how long he will be sidelined.

Betemit was a baserunner trying to get back to first base when he collapsed near second base.

He hit .261 with 12 homers for the Orioles last season.
