LONDON (AP) -- Olympic Stadium in London is still in the running to host matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup after tournament organizers were granted extra time to submit their 12-venue list.
There is still uncertainty over the future of the $783 million stadium in east London. The soccer team West Ham was selected in December as the preferred tenant but has yet to agree to final terms.
Rugby World Cup organizers were scheduled to agree to their final list of venues Friday but say ''appropriate time should be given to allow every possible opportunity to include the Olympic Stadium.''
The stadium is on a list of 17 venues that includes soccer and rugby sites in England and Wales.
