    Old Dominion releases coach Taylor

    Old Dominion coach Blaine Taylor has been relieved of his duties, the school announced Tuesday.

    The Monarchs are 2-20 overall this season and 0-10 in the Colonial Athletic Association play.

    Taylor, who had two years left on his contract,has the best record in the history of ODU (239-143) after 12 years at the school. Before this season, ODU has won at least 20 games during the past eight seasons with four NCAA Tourament bids.
