Ohio State linebacker Storm Klein pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and assault in an Ohio court Saturday morning, hours after being arrested by Columbus police. He is the third Buckeye to be arrested recently. Klein spent the night in jail and was represented by a public defender at his arraignment at Franklin County Municipal Court, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Klein was ordered to stay away from the unnamed complainant, not to consume alcohol or drugs and not be caught possessing firearms, per his bond conditions. Ohio State acknowledged Klein's arrest but has not further commented. It is expected that Klein would face suspension from first-year Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer. Senior tight end Jake Stoneburner and junior left tackle Jack Mewhort recently had their scholarships pulled by Meyer for at least the summer after they were charged with misdemeanor offenses late in the spring. Klein started 10 games last year and is expected to compete for the starting job at middle linebacker this season.
