Official: Liverpool signs Aspas from Celta Vigo

Liverpool has completed the signing of Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo.

The 25-year-old striker has signed a long-term contract with Brendan Rodgers' side after completing a medical, and the move is now only subject to international clearance.

Aspas scored 12 goals and made 11 assists in 34 La Liga appearances for Celta Vigo last season as the club finished a point above the relegation zone.

The Spaniard is Liverpool's third arrival this summer after the club agreed a deal to sign Kolo Toure from Manchester City on a free transfer on July 1, and Luis Alberto, whose move from Sevilla was completed on Saturday.

Liverpool is also on the verge of completing a deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
