Rashad Jennings established the ground game, but it wasn't enough to avoid a rough loss for the Raiders against the Chiefs, 56-31, at home.
Matt McGloin completed 18 of 36 passes for 297 yards, two touchdowns, four picks and one fumble. Alex Smith had a better game for the Chiefs, and wound up 17 for 20 with 287 yards passing, five touchdowns and one fumble.
Jennings was a key factor for the Raiders, rushing for 91 yards on 23 carries while adding two touchdowns in addition to three receptions for 12 yards. Mychal Rivera snagged three balls for 30 yards with a touchdown.
The Oakland defense struggled against the pass, but managed to slow down the run game, giving up 78 yards rushing and 318 passing. They sacked Smith two times.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles had a big game, putting up 195 receiving yards, 20 rushing and five touchdowns.
The Raiders travel to San Diego next week to meet the Chargers (7-7) while the Chiefs are at home to take on the Colts (9-5).
