After dropping two of three games to the New York Yankees over the weekend, the Cleveland Indians are gearing up to face the Oakland Athletics in a four-game series. While Oakland started out the season in the middle of the pack, they have worked their way into contention for one of the two wild card spots available.
Roberto Hernandez will make his first start at Progressive Field for the Indians since September 25, 2011. He is 0-4 with a 5.09 ERA in his last four home contests against Oakland. It will be interesting to see how the home crowd reacts to Hernandez's debut marking his first Cleveland appearance under his real name. He previously pitched for the club under the name Fausto Carmona and missed the majority of the season clearing up identity issues in the Dominican Republic.

Roberto Hernandez (0-2, 6.75 ERA) will take the mound for the Indians facing off against the Athletics' Brett Anderson (1-0, 1.29 ERA).
Cleveland enters the game with a 55-72 record and in fourth place in the American League Central. They are 31-31 when playing at home and have won one of their last 10 games.
Oakland comes into the matchup with a 69-57 record and in second place in the American League West. They are 30-30 when playing on the road and have won eight of their last 10 games.
The season series is currently stands at 4-2 in favor of the Athletics.
