Nuggets assign Miller to D-League team

Denver Nuggets rookie forward Quincy Miller has been assigned to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League, the team announced Thursday.

Miller, 19, selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, made his NBA debut Dec. 16 against the Sacramento Kings. He has played 15 minutes in three games.

This will be his second stint with Iowa. He averaged 14.0 points and 10.7 rebounds in three games with the Energy earlier this season.

Miller came to the NBA after one season at Baylor University. He averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while helping the Bears to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
