Notre Dame linebacker Jarrett Grace, the team's leading tackler, is out for the rest of the season after suffering a broken leg in Saturday's 37-34 victory over Arizona State. Grace fractured the tibia in his right leg and underwent surgery at a Dallas-area hospital. He remained hospitalized and did not travel with the team back to South Bend. Grace played all 13 games last season and started every game this year. He came into Saturday's game as the Irish's leading tackler with 37. He remains tied for the team lead in that category with 40. Also, Irish senior wide receiver Daniel Smith suffered a broken ankle that will end his season. He had one reception this year.
