COMMENTARY | The Cleveland Browns starting Brandon Weeden this coming weekend when they are at the Kansas City Chiefs would likely end one way: With Weeden, who is notorious for holding onto the football for far too long while in the pocket, getting creamed by what is the most ferocious pass rush in the NFL this fall. Odds are that Jason Campbell, second on the team's depth chart, also isn't the answer for the Browns.
There is nothing that indicates free agent quarterback Tim Tebow is going to get a tryout in Berea anytime soon. Opinions on Tebow possibly joining the Browns are, on Twitter, a mixed bag. I can't help but wonder the obvious.
If not Weeden or Campbell or Tebow, then who?

Potential Browns QB options: Vince Young
Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland reported via Twitter on Tuesday that any claims of Young visiting the team are false. I see Grossi's comment as only good news for the franchise. Not a person on this earth could convince me that Young is a better option for the Browns than is Tebow. That's not necessarily a ringing endorsement of Mr. Tebow.
Potential Browns QB options: Brady Quinn
The former Cleveland draft pick was released by the New York Jets on October 21. Quinn is familiar with the system of head coach Rob Chudzinski, and it's a safe bet that he would love another shot at making it with his boyhood team. I wouldn't count on him being a long-term option, but there are worse potential starters out there.
Potential Browns QB options: Jeff Garcia
Yes, I am referring to the retired quarterback who spent some time with the Browns last decade. Garcia has apparently reached out to the team to offer his services. Is Bernie Kosar not available? What kind of shape is Tim Couch in these days?
Potential Browns QB options: John Skelton
Skelton had a handful of memorable moments while with the Arizona Cardinals. He twice lost that starting gig in 2012, though, before being released by the team this past spring. Skelton has gotten looks from both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams over the past week, and he is, at 25-years old, younger than both Weeden and Campbell.
Potential Browns QB options: David Carr
Age - Carr is 34-years old - is really only a number with Carr, who hasn't played a lot of pro football over the past five years. That will happen when you are backing up New York Giants QB Eli Manning, who literally never misses a meaningful game. Carr would be nothing more than a fill-in for the rest of 2013 until the Browns started a new search for a franchise quarterback. All things considered, he could be the safest option out there.
