Gonzaga and coach Mark Few continue to post staggering numbers that prove the Bulldogs are anything but mid-major.

Since 2000, Gonzaga has won more than 80 percent of its games and been a consistent member of both the Associated Press Top 25 and coaches' poll.

After a three-game slide in late December, the Zags are rolling again, winning eight straight, including a 64-47 defeat of San Diego on Saturday.

A first-round NCAA tournament loss to Davidson last season still stings.

Expect bigger things from the Bulldogs this March.

Now, on to this week's rankings.

1. Butler
(19-1, 10-0)
Not sure why Butler is ranked lower than Xavier considering Butler won the head-to-head matchup and has fewer losses. But oh well. Brad Stevens' team won't lose again during the regular season.

2. Xavier
(19-2, 7-0)
The Musketeers staved off a pesky Massachusetts team Saturday and now face a tough, three-game stretch that includes road games at Duquesne and Dayton. The Atlantic 10 might not be the Big East or ACC, but the league isn't given nearly enough credit.

3. Gonzaga
(16-4, 7-0)
Looked as if the Bulldogs were going to lose their home game against St. Mary’s on Thursday – but the momentum changed when Gaels star Patrick Mills left the game with broken bones in his hand. With Mills out for at least a month, they might as well go ahead and send the West Coast Conference trophy to Spokane.

4. Memphis
(18-3, 7-0)
The Tigers have a huge game at Gonzaga on Saturday, but it's not as if that's the only tough test remaining on the schedule. Conference USA is much tougher this year. Don't be surprised if Memphis drops a league game or two before all is said and done.

5. Davidson
(18-3, 11-0)
All three losses have been against ranked teams. Once again, the Wildcats will spend the next month building up confidence against an easy schedule just in time for another postseason run.

6. St. Mary's
(18-3, 5-2)
The Gaels – who lost to Portland on Saturday without Mills – will be hard-pressed to win many games without their star.

7. UNLV
(17-4, 5-2)
The Runnin' Rebels tripped over their own feet during back-to-back road losses to TCU and Colorado State earlier this month. Lately, though, they've been back on track with five straight victories, including a big one at BYU. Also on the resume is a Dec. 31 win at Louisville.

8. Utah
(14-7, 5-2)
Not many people are talking about the Utes, which is a shame considering they own wins against Gonzaga, Mississippi and LSU. Luke Nevill is averaging 18 points and 8.4 rebounds

9. Utah State
(21-1, 9-0)
Here's an impressive stat: The Aggies have won 17 straight since a Dec. 6 setback against BYU – and 10 of those wins have come by 10 points or less. That's the sign of a well-coached team that keeps its poise when things get tight

10. Siena
(17-5, 11-0)
The Saints are undefeated in the Metro Atlantic Conference, and some of that has to be because of the hardening that took place during a rigorous non-league slate that included games against Kansas, Tennessee and Pittsburgh.
