Tulane announced Friday that it received a national letter of intent from the son of former NFL quarterback Joe Montana.
Nick Montana will enroll in school in time to participate in spring practice and have two years of eligibility remaining, the school said.
Montana passed for 2,652 yards and 22 touchdowns this past season at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Montana signed with Washington out of high school after an intense recruiting battle that included offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia and Ohio State. He left Washington after one season and enrolled in junior college.
Montana had committed to Tulune after a recent visit and now has made it official. He also received scholarship offers from Akron and Western Kentucky.
