BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Antoine Mason scored 21 points, all but two coming in the second half, as Niagara beat Davidson 83-72 on Wednesday night.

Davidson (4-6) led 34-31 at halftime, in a back-and-forth affair that saw eight ties and 14 lead changes. Neither team led by more than five points in the first 20 minutes.

The second half was a different story as Niagara (3-8) opened on a 16-5 run, 12 coming from Tahjere McCall and Marvin Jordan, which gave the Eagles their largest lead of the game at 47-39.

A Joe Aase 3-pointer, three Davidson free throws and a Tom Droney basket pulled the Wildcats to within 56-53 with 7:28 remaining, but they couldn't get any closer.

McCall finished with 16 points and Jordan added 17.

The teams combined for 57 personal fouls, four players fouled out and 71 free throws were attempted.

Droney led Davidson with 17 points.
