NHL roundup: Kings, Ducks to play at Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks will meet in a regular-season game at the outdoor venue of Dodger Stadium next season, the NHL announced Monday.

Temperatures may be near 80 degrees for the game when the Ducks and Kings play at Dodger Stadium on Jan. 25, 2014.

The event is part of the 2014 NHL Stadium Series, in which the NHL plans to play a number of regular-season games in outdoor venues in 2013-14.

The NHL already announced another game in this series, an outdoor game at Chicago's Soldier Field, featuring the Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 1, 2014.

---Montreal Canadiens winger Brendan Gallagher, center Jonathan Huberdeau of the Florida Panthers and left wing Brandon Saad of the Chicago Blackhawks were announced as the finalists for the Calder Memorial Trophy (rookie of the year).

---Defenseman Radko Gudas signed a three-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Gudas, 22, played in 22 games with the Lightning last season, and scored two goals. He made his NHL debut March 12 against the Florida Panthers.

---The New York Rangers have activated defenseman Marc Staal off injured reserve, according to ESPN New York. He had been sidelined since March 5 when he was struck in the eye with a puck during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

--- None of the participants in the fights involving the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens during Game 3 on Sunday will face any additional punishment from the NHL.
