Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby practiced with his teammates after getting clearance Friday.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that the team practiced a power-play unit of Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, Kris Letang and Jarome Iginla.
Crosby has not played since March 30, when a deflected shot broke his jaw. He still has not been cleared to play and is out for Saturday's regular season finale against the Carolina Hurricanes.
"(Returning) is not really up to me," Crosby said. "I'll just keep talking with the doctors. It's something they have to feel comfortable with the healing. As soon as they say the word, I'll be ready to go."
---The Columbus Blue Jackets agreed to terms with winger Cam Atkinson on a two-year, $2.3 million contract extension, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
Atkinson, 23, is in his second season with the Columbus. He has eight goals and eight assists in 34 games this season.
---The Tampa Bay Lightning announced they reassigned defenseman Radko Gudas and forward Richard Panik to the Syracuse Crunch.
Syracuse begins the Calder Cup Playoffs at home Saturday night against the Portland Pirates.
---The Chicago Blackhawks announced they recalled forwards Jimmy Hayes, Jeremy Morin, Brandon Pirri and Ben Smith, defensemen Adam Clendening, Shawn Lalonde, Ryan Stanton and Steve Montador, and goaltender Henrik Karlsson from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
---The Nashville Predators announced they recalled forward Filip Forsberg from Milwaukee of the AHL and assigned forwards Daniel Bang and Kevin Henderson to the Admirals.
Forsberg, 18, had one assist in four games for the Predators since joining the team April 13.
----Tim Leiweke was named President and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), the parent company of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
