NHL, players union continue to communicate
Although no formal meetings have been held over the weekend, representatives of the NHL and NHL players union continue to communicate, multiple media outlets reported.
NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly has spoken with union representative Steve Fehr this weekend, according to ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.
Both sides are trying to get their leaders to return to the bargaining table to work out a deal, according to TSN. However, as of midday Sunday, no meetings have been scheduled.
If an agreement is not reached soon, further game cancellation will be announced.
