Brodin was struck in the face by a puck Tuesday night in the first period of a game against the Nashville Predators.
The 20-year-old had three goals and six assists in his first 10 games this season to lead Wild defenseman in scoring.
Thomas left the Panthers' 3-2 shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night with less than three minutes to play in regulation because of a groin injury, which has lingered during the first month of the season.
Thomas had returned from the original injury on Oct. 17 to play in a 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins, his former team.
Kronwall was preparing to return from a concussion that sidelined him for the last two games. After he took the puck to the face, he was taken to a dentist for treatment.
Kronwall has one goal and five assists in eight games this season.
The Calgary Flames saw enough of rookie center Sean Monahan in his first 10 games to keep him around for the remainder of the season.
Monahan, the sixth pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, will not be going back to Ottawa in the Ontario Hockey League, the Flames announced.
The 19-year-old leads the team in goals with six and is second in points with nine while averaging 16 minutes per game.
Schneider will start his third straight game Thursday when the Devils host the Vancouver Canucks, his former team.
The 27-year-old is 1-3-1 with a 2.21 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in five starts this season for the Devils. The Canucks traded him to the Devils in June during the NHL Draft. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
