March 3 (The Sports Xchange) - The Anaheim Ducks signed forward Logan Shaw to a one-year contract extension through the 2017-18 season, the team announced on Friday. Shaw, who was acquired from the Florida Panthers on Nov. 16, has two goals, three assists and eight penalty minutes in 43 games with the Ducks this season. Shaw, 24, has seven goals, five assists and 21 penalty minutes in 96 career NHL games with the Ducks and Panthers. - - The Dallas Stars recalled left winger Remi Elie from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. Elie, 21, is tied for sixth at Texas with 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) in 50 games this season. He has two goals and three assists in his last eight contests. - - The Carolina Hurricanes reassigned forward Andrej Nestrasil to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. Nestrasil, 26, skated in Wednesday's overtime loss against Tampa Bay and recorded one goal and four assists with the Hurricanes this season. In 18 games with the Checkers, the Prague, Czech Republic, native has four goals and six assists. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Nestrasil has 48 points (17 goals, 31 assists) in 128 career NHL games with Detroit and Carolina. (Editing by Gene Cherry)
