NHL-National Hockey League roundup

March 20 (The Sports Xchange) - The Philadelphia Flyers will be without standout goaltender Michal Neuvirth for the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury. General manager Ron Hextall announced the news on Sunday and said Neuvirth suffered a lower-body injury. Multiple media outlets reported that Neuvirth suffered a knee injury. The goalie was scratched after suffering the injury prior to Saturday's loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was apparently injured while stretching during pre-game warmups. Neuvirth, 27, is 28-17-8 with a 2.28 goals-against average this season. Steve Mason started in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh and will see most of the action during the final three weeks of the regular season. - - - The Nashville Predators recalled forwards Gabriel Bourque and Eric Nystrom from long-term injury loans with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League. They each played a pair of AHL games against Charlotte on Friday (2-1 shootout loss) and Saturday (6-2 win). Bourque, 25, has missed the Predators' last 50 games after leaving the team's Nov. 27 game at Philadelphia with an upper-body injury. In 22 NHL games in 2015-16, Bourque has one goal and three assists. Nystrom, 33, sustained a broken foot on Jan. 26 at Vancouver. He has missed Nashville's last 23 games, and has seven goals in 40 games with the Predators this season. - - - The Winnipeg Jets recalled forward Chase De Leo on an emergency basis from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. A flu bug knocked right winger Marko Dano out of Sunday's game against the Anaheim Ducks. De Leo, 20, has played 64 games for Manitoba this season, leading the team in scoring with 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) and 32 penalty minutes. De Leo is in his first professional season after spending the last four years with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. - - - The Buffalo Sabres assigned forward Daniel Catenacci to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. Catenacci, 23, has played in 11 games for the Sabres this season without scoring a point. He has 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 42 games with Rochester. - - - (Editing by Mark Lamport-Stokes)
