Oct 12 (The Sports Xchange) - Minnesota Wild assistant coach Darryl Sydor pled guilty on Monday to a second-degree charge of driving while impaired. Sydor, who was arrested in August, will begin serving a 15-day jail sentence on Friday. Sydor, 43, was arrested with his 12-year-old son in the front passenger seat. He had a blood alcohol level of .30 -- nearly four times the legal limit in Minnesota. - - - The Los Angeles Kings have lost left winger Dwight King for at least two months due to a foot injury. King underwent surgery on the foot and could miss up to 10 weeks, coach Darryl Sutter announced on Monday. King had 13 goals for the Kings last season. He has 37 career goals in 238 games. - - - The Buffalo Sabres recalled defenseman Jake McCabe from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. McCabe, 22, joins the Sabres for his first recall of the 2015-16 season. A native of Eau Claire, Wis., the 6-foot, 214-pounder has one assist in nine career games with Buffalo. - - - The Boston Bruins assigned defenseman Matt Irwin to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. Irwin appeared in two games for Boston this season, recording three shots on goal.
