Campbell scored his second goal of the season on a 3-on-2 rush to seal the win after right winger Reilly Smith had tied the game at 1-1 in the third period. Goaltender Roberto Luongo made 28 saves. "We felt we had played well, just in the third period wanted to keep doing what we had been doing," Luongo said. "Their goalie was playing pretty well, so we wanted to get some bodies in front of the net. "It feels good to be able to tie it up in the third period, make a few saves, and be rewarded with the win in overtime." Forward Dylan Larkin had opened the scoring for Detroit, who have played six overtime games in their past seven, while goalie Petr Mrazek made 30 saves. Larkin had given Detroit a 1-0 lead 7:12 into the second period when he intercepted center Aleksander Barkov's pass up the middle and beat Luongo to the stick side for his 10th goal, which leads NHL rookies. "I think everyone is frustrated with the loss," Larkin said. "I think it seems like it's happening more and more and I think we just have to bear down and close out the game." - - - -
