Jim Slater scored his fifth for Winnipeg (40-26-12), while Mathieu Perreault supplied three assists. - - - Red Wings 3, Wild 2 (SO) Gustav Nyquist, Riley Sheahan and Darren Helm scored in an eight-round shootout as the Detroit Red Wings took another step toward clinching a playoff spot, coming from behind to beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2. Sheahan and Nyquist also scored in regulation for Detroit and goalie Jimmy Howard had 22 saves, improving to 11-3-3 in his last 17 starts against Minnesota. Zach Parise scored twice for Minnesota. - - - Blue Jackets 5, Penguins 3 Nick Foligno had his first career hat-trick to ignite a stunning comeback as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-3. The Flames, who arrived in Edmonton clinging to a playoff spot by one point with the hard-charging LA Kings hot on their tail, were facing an Oilers team that desperately wanted to spoil their season.
