Phil Kessel scored the game's first goal in the third period to give the Maple Leafs (11-5-0) the lead but the Devils' (4-7-5) Michael Ryder tied the game with fewer than five minutes to play in regulation. Toronto goaltender Jonathan Bernier stopped 34 of 35 shots for the win. - - Jets 5, Predators 0 The Winnipeg Jets scored four first-period goals on the way to a 5-0 rout of the Nashville Predators. Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec kicked out 41 shots to earn the shutout. Center Bryan Little scored twice in the win as the Jets improved to 7-9-2 while the Predators dropped to 8-6-2. - - Avalanche 4, Flames 2 Goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 30 shots and Paul Stastny and John Mitchell scored in the second period as the Colorado Avalanche (13-2) continued their hot start with a 4-2 win over the Calgary Flames. Ryan O'Reilly and Matt Duchene also had a goal for the Avalanche. Mike Cammalleri had two goals and Mikael Backlund had two assist for the Flames, who have lost seven of their last nine. - - Ducks 6, Sabres 2 Ryan Getzlaf recorded a hat-trick in the opening period as the Anaheim Ducks romped to a 6-2 win over Buffalo (3-15-1). Getzlaf became only the fifth Anaheim player to score three goals in a single period and the second to produce four points in one.
