NHL All-Star Game’s weirdest fan souvenir? Mascot Tiki Totems!

LOS ANGELES – The NHL All-Star Game Fan Fest has keepsakes for every fan’s desire. You want official team jerseys and hats? You got’em. You want T-shirts with garish reminders that the game is being played in Los Angeles? They’re yours.

You want a Tiki Totem idol featuring NHL mascots?

You got’em.

[Kneels down to pray to new plushie god…]

These have been available here and there for a while, but it’s the first time we’ve seen them at an NHL event like the all-star game. From the official description:

Decorate your home or yard with this fun NHL Tiki Totem made by Evergreen Enterprises. Each Tiki Totem measures approximately 5.5-inches in width and 16-inches in height. It features hand-painted team graphics and team colors and is officially licensed by the NHL. This fun, stacked figurine is a unique and distinctive way to showcase your team spirit all year long!

They’re so weird!

The angry puck on the bottom. Then the block with the team logo. Then … that’s Tie Domi, right?

Then on top of that blockhead player’s helmet, you have the mascot perched.

Well, except for the Flyers, who don’t have a mascot, alas:

What, they couldn’t just throw Radko Gudas up there?

The totems retail for $35.88.

But honestly, the chance to pray each day to Youppi! or Iceburgh is priceless.
