The SportsXchange

Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, considered one of the top players in this year's NFL Draft, has a heart condition that was detected when he was examined at the Scouting Combine, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Sunday.

Because of those findings, Lotulelei will not go through workouts in Indianapolis and will return to Utah to undergo more tests..

He is rated as the No. 7 overall prospect in the draft by NFLDraftScout.com, and it's unclear how this finding will affect his draft status.

Lotulelei's left ventricle was found to be pumping at 44 percent efficiency, while the normal rate is between 55 percent to 70 percent, according to the report. The condition was discovered by an echocardiogram exam, which is part of the Combine medical evaluation.

--Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Bryant was arrested Sunday morning in Miami-Dade County, Fla., on suspicion of criminal mischief.

NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported that no other information was given about the arrest. "We're aware of the situation and are gathering more information," Raiders spokesman Zak Gilbert told USA Today Sports.

Bryant, who started eight games in 2012, is set to be a free agent next month.

---The Buffalo Bills will not make a contract offer to wide receiver David Nelson, ESPN reported Sunday, citing a league source.

Nelson will be an unrestricted free agent. He missed most of the season with a torn ACL that occurred Sept. 9 against the New York Jets.

---The Green Bay Packers might place the franchise tag on wide receiver Greg Jennings, CBSSports.com reported based on NFL.com's Ian Rapoport tweet.

That move would cost the team $10.4 million. Jennings was limited to eight games in 2012 because of injuries. There have been reports that Jennings is asking for $14 million per season.
