Sept 6 (The Sports Xchange) - New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady addressed the media Sunday for the first time since his four-game suspension was vacated last week by a federal court judge. "I love football, I love the sport, and I love playing in the NFL," Brady told reporters in front of his locker before practice. "To get the opportunity to do it and -- certainly with all of my teammates and my friends. I've had so much support with my family that's -- through all this. For the last 20 years, I've been playing football this time of year, and it feels good to be doing that again." Brady said he wants to just focus on football and expressed sympathy for equipment assistant John Jastremski and officials locker room attendant Jim McNally because of the investigation. The Patriots suspended Jastremski and McNally during the NFL's investigation. - - - Pittsburgh Steelers placed center Maurkice Pouncey on the team's Reserve/Injured, Designated For Return List, which means he could return midway through the season. A player with the Designated For Return listing can return to practice after spending at least six weeks on the team's Reserve/Injured List. Pouncey suffered a broken fibula in his right leg on Aug. 23. The Steelers signed center/guard Doug Legursky to take Pouncey's spot on the roster. - - - After trading away Matt Barkley and waiving Tim Tebow, the Philadelphia Eagles added a quarterback, picking up Stephen Morris off waivers. Morris was waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday. Tebow, meanwhile, was not picked up by any team Sunday. - - - The reason veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne was released by the New England Patriots is starting to become clear. Former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak, who is now a radio analt for Patriots games, said Wayne requested his release because he did not like the work environment. Wayne wanted to be released because he thought the Patriots' "work environment was too tough" and playing for the Patriots was "not fun," according to Zolak via CBSSports.com. - - - The Miami Dolphins claimed former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Logan Thomas off waivers Sunday. To make room on the roster, the Dolphins placed running back Jay Ajayi on the reserve/injured/ designated for return list. - - - The Dallas Cowboys announced they have acquired running back Christine Michael from the Seattle Seahawks, reportedly for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. - - - Denver Broncos president John Elway said running back Montee Ball survived the final roster cuts on Saturday because the team still saw promise in the former first-round pick.
