NFL-National Football League roundup

June 21(The Sports Xchange) - Former Miami Dolphins receiver Davone Bess is facing felony charges after a standoff with police at his home in Gilbert, Ariz. Bess was stopped by police in the Phoenix suburb on Sunday night for driving without his headlights on and became uncooperative. Police say he pointed his finger like a gun at officers and later fled to his home, where he barricaded himself in his car and waved a knife before eventually ignoring the orders of police and entering his home. - - ESPN announced it has signed commentator Trent Dilfer to a multi-year contract extension, ending rumors that his eight-year run at the network was coming to an end. - - The contract standoff between rookie defensive end Joey Bosa and the San Diego Chargers continues and agent Todd France has no regrets over keeping his client out of the team's recent minicamp. The Chargers are insisting on having offset language in Bosa's rookie contract because every player in the organization -- including quarterback Philip Rivers -- has the terms in his contract. - - The Jacksonville Jaguars signed their third-round pick from this year's draft, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. Ngakoue, the 69th selection, left Maryland after his junior year when he recorded 13.5 sacks. He was the last member of the Jaguars' seven-man class to come to terms with the team.
