BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -- Derek Needham scored 31 points as Fairfield bounced back from its worst offensive showing of the season to defeat Siena 74-52 Thursday night.
Needham was held to five points Tuesday night, when the Stags (16-11, 8-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) lost 62-40 at Manhattan.
After shooting just 25.4 percent that night, Fairfield shot 50.9 percent (29 of 57) against the Saints (6-20, 4-11), including 11 of 25 from 3-point range. Siena is 0-13 this season when its opponent shoots 40 percent or better.
Needham, who made 11 of 17 shots overall, hit three 3-pointers during a 16-4 first-half run that lifted the Stags to a 22-10 lead with 10:19 left. They led by as many as 19 later in the half.
The senior guard scored 18 points when Fairfield beat Siena 64-54 on Feb. 4, which started the Saints' four-game losing streak.
Evan Hymes led Siena with 14 points.
