Nebraska drops out of top 25

Nebraska fell out of both major polls after losing to UCLA on Saturday.

The Associated Press and USA Today polls were released Sunday.

The Cornhuskers held an 18-point lead over the Bruins before falling 41-21 and dropping out of the polls. UCLA benefitted by climbing up to 15th in the coaches poll and No. 13 by AP. Nebraska was 15th in the coaches poll and 23rd by AP before the loss.

Alabama held on to the No. 1 spot in both polls after its 49-42 shootout victory over Texas A&M. The Aggies fell from sixth to No. 10 in the AP poll and to ninth in the coaches poll.

The Crimson Tide received 59 out of 60 first-place AP votes and 61 of 62 top votes in the coaches poll. No. 2 Oregon got the other top vote in both polls. Clemson, Ohio State and Stanford rounded out the AP top five. Ohio State was ahead of Clemson in the coaches poll.

Ole Miss made the biggest jump in the AP top 25 by moving four spots to No. 21 after beating Texas 44-23. The Rebels moved up from No. 25 to No. 23 in the coaches poll.

TCU fell out of the top 25 in both polls. The Horned Frogs were 24th last week in both polls.
