The Los Angeles Lakers' struggles have led to speculation about the job security of coach Mike D'Antoni, but Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register reported the Lakers are not thinking about firing D'Antoni. "I was told Thursday the Lakers are not considering a buyout or firing of D'Antoni as head coach," the Register's Ding wrote. The Lakers signed D'Antoni to a three-year contract to replace Mike Brown, who was fired Nov. 9. Ding also reported that Jim Buss, who runs the basketball side of the Lakers operation, and his sister Jeannie Buss, who runs the business side of the franchise, have not spoken to each other since Brown was fired and D'Antoni hired. --Guard Delonte West, who was released by the Dallas Mavericks three months ago after being suspended twice, joined the Texas Legends of the NBA Developmental League, he team announced on its website. West can sign with any NBA team while playing for the Legends, but he could have signed with any NBA team after becoming a free agent when the Mavs released him. West has bipolar disorder and was involved in a pair of locker room incidents during the preseason while with Dallas. He was suspended twice and subsequently waived. ---Brooklyn Nets guard C.J. Watson has been warned by the league for flopping as a result of his actions during a game against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
