Feb 6 (The Sports Xchange) - Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was fined $25,000 for verbal abuse of game officials and failing to leave the court in a timely manner after his ejection, the NBA announced Monday. The incident occurred with 3:34 remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors' 109-106 overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. Kerr was ejected with the Warriors trailing 75-73 and had to be held back near midcourt by assistant coach Mike Brown as the reigning NBA Coach of the Year moved toward official Bill Spooner. Kerr was irate and swearing after a pair of loose ball fouls on Kevon Looney 18 seconds apart and Draymond Green received a technical for arguing over the call. - - - The Philadelphia 76ers, who have an overabundance of big men, have been shopping Jahlil Okafor recently, and they may have found a trade partner in the New Orleans Pelicans, multiple media outlets reported. Sources told that the Sixers and Pelicans are in advanced talks in an attempt to complete the trade. Philadelphia wants a future first-round pick in exchange for Okafor, who was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 draft. The Pelicans have mentioned sending center Alexis Ajinca and a future first-round pick to the Sixers, although the deal is not finalized. - - - The Denver Nuggets signed forward Johnny O'Bryant to a second 10-day contract. The 6-foot-9, 257-pound O'Bryant appeared in two games with the Nuggets this season, averaging 3.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per contest since signing a 10-day contract on Jan. 26. - - - The Phoenix Suns signed point guard Ronnie Price to a second 10-day contract. Even though he is currently in his third tenure with the Suns, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Price has not yet appeared in a game this season since initially signing a 10-day contract on Jan. 27. - - - The Detroit Pistons recalled forward Henry Ellenson and guard Michael Gbinije from the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League. Ellenson, 20, is averaging 1.5 points, 0.9 rebounds and 4.0 minutes in 14 games with the Pistons this season.
