Boris Diaw agrees to $9 million deal with Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have reached agreement on a two-year, $9.2 million contract with forward Boris Diaw, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The deal includes a player option in the 2013-14 season.

Diaw, 30, joined the Spurs midway through last season after he reached a contract buyout with the Charlotte Bobcats. He eventually moved into the starting lineup for the Spurs' playoff run to the Western Conference finals.

Diaw averaged 4.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 20 regular-season games for the Spurs. He averaged 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the playoffs after his role expanded.
