Raptors reach deal with Julyan Stone

Denver Nuggets free-agent guard Julyan Stone has reached agreement on a two-year deal with the Toronto Raptors, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Stone will compete to be the backup point guard to Kyle Lowry.

The Raptors will hold a team option on the second year of the deal.

Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri signed Stone as an undrafted free agent out of UTEP in 2011 when Ujiri was in the Nuggets' front office.
