Elias Harris has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, his agent, Brad Ames of Priority Sports, told Yahoo! Sports.

The agreement includes a "significant" financial guarantee in the 2013-14 season, per Ames, that gives Harris a strong chance of making the Lakers roster.

Harris, 24, went undrafted out of Gonzaga in June, but made a strong impression with the Lakers' entry in the Las Vegas summer league, averaging 10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. Raised in Germany, Harris averaged 14.6 points and 7.4 rebounds for Gonzaga in his senior season.

For the Lakers, Harris has the opportunity to earn a job on the bench at the small and power forward spots. At 6-foot-8, 240-plus pounds, Harris has shown the versatility to play both positions.

The Lakers lost forward Earl Clark in free agency to the Cleveland Cavaliers and need to find avenues to infuse the franchise with young, developing talent.
