Nationals, Zimmermann agree on one-yea deal

The Washington Nationals have reached agreement with pitcher Jordan Zimmermann on a one-year deal, the Washington Post reported.

No financial terms of the agreement were available, but Zimmermann had asked for $5.8 million and the Nationals had offered $4.8 million, so the amount probably falls somewhere between.

Zimmermann, 26, made $2.3 million in 2012, when he went 12-8 with a 2.94 ERA.
