Nationals sign catcher Snyder

Free-agent catcher Chris Snyder signed a minor-league deal with the Washington Nationals Tuesday according to an ESPN.com report.

Snyder, 32, appeared in 76 games for the Houston Astros in 2012, and batted .176 in 258 plate appearances, with seven home runs.
