Nacional beats Belenenses 2-0 in Portugal

LISBON, Portugal (AP) — Nacional beat Belenenses 2-0 at home to strengthen its hold on fourth place in the Portuguese league on Saturday.

Striker Jorge Djaniny opened the scoring for Nacional in the 26th minute and substitute Saleh Gomaa secured the result in the 66th.

The win left Nacional five points behind third-place FC Porto before the defending champion plays on Sunday.

Also, Setubal won 3-2 over Guimaraes at home.

On Sunday, Benfica hosts Sporting Lisbon in a Portuguese capital derby. Benfica leads the league by two points over Sporting. Porto trails by another two points before it hosts Pacos Ferreira.
