Right-hander Brett Myers has signed a one-year contract with a club option for 2014 with the Cleveland Indians, the team confirmed Friday in an announcement. It was reported earlier this week that Myers had reach a contract agreement with the Indians. Myers, 32, is expected to bid for a start in the starting rotation this season. He pitched in relief for the Houston Astos and Chicago White Sox last season, posting a combined 3-8 record with an 3.31 ERA and 19 saves in 70 games. He was traded to the White Sox in July. Prior to last season, Myers spent most of his career as a starter, He started on opening day for the Astros in 2011 and finished that season with a 7-14 record. In 2010 with Houston, he won 14 games. Myers' career record stands at 97-93 with a 4.20 ERA in 11 major-league seasons with Philadelphia, Houston and the White Sox. He also has notched 40 saves
