LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Mike Muscala had 20 points and 13 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season as Bucknell used a big first-half run to defeat Army 76-55 Saturday night in the Patriot League opener for both teams.
The Bison (14-3), who have won three of their last four games, trailed by seven early. With the Black Knights leading 17-12, Bucknell used a 20-2 spurt to take control.
Army could get no closer than 14 in the second half. Playing without Jordan Springer (4.3 rebounds per game), who was out with a shoulder injury, the Black Knights (7-9) were outrebounded 36-28.
Ella Ellis, who scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half, became the 12th player in Army history to record 1,300 career points.
