AP - Sports

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) -- Murray State scored early and often in an 83-14 win over Campbellsville University Saturday night.

The Murray State Racers set a modern day school scoring record, running past the older mark of 72, set against Missouri State in 2010. They also set a school record for most points in a quarter, scoring 41 in the first.

Maikhail Milller threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns to lead the scoring onslaught. He did not play in the second half. No personal records were set as most of the Racer players got into the game.

The game was called six minutes into the fourth quarter as agreed by coaches and the referees.

Marcus Holliday totaled 132 yards on 18 carries. He also had two touchdowns.

Chavez Sims was the defensive standout for the Racers, with 4 quarterback sacks.
