Moyes future uncertain as Everton boss stalls on new contract

Everton boss David Moyes says that he will make a decision regarding his future at the end of the season.

The 49-year-old's contract at Goodison Park expires this summer, while Goal.com revealed in January that club officials are growing concerned over the Scot's reluctance to sign a new deal.

Moyes, who has been with the Merseyside team since leaving Preston 11 years ago, is popular with the players and fans but has often been linked with top Premier League clubs.

"I'll give as much as I can, and I've spoken with the chairman and I want to see how the team does," the Toffees boss told the press on Friday.

Everton head to Boundary Park on Saturday to face Oldham in the fifth round of the FA Cup and Moyes added that success in the competition, as well as in his side's push for Champions League qualification, could affect his decision.

"I want to see how we do in the cups, I want to see how we do in the league and it's more than likely that I won't make a decision until the end of the season," he continued, "so you can ask me every week but I'll probably give you the same answer."
