There have been a lot of changes this season as far as schools coming and going in the Mountain West Conference. While TCU has left, 2012 will see three new teams added to the league including the Hawaii Warriors, Fresno State Bulldogs and the Nevada Wolf Pack. So listed alphabetically is an updated directory of stadiums in the conference with a quick description of each.
Aloha Stadium: Honolulu, Hawaii - Seats 50,000 and is home to the Hawaii Warriors. It's less than 10 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1975 and the playing surface is field turf.
Bronco Stadium: Boise, Idaho - Seats 37,000 and is home to the Boise State Broncos. It's less than 10 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1970 and the playing surface is field turf.
Bulldog Stadium: Fresno, California - Seats 41,021 and is home to the Fresno State Bulldogs. It's 10 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1980 and the playing surface is field turf.
Falcon Stadium: Colorado Springs, Colorado - Seats 52,123 and is home to the Air Force Academy Falcons. It's a half hour from the airport. The stadium opened in 1962 and the playing surface is field turf.
Hughes Stadium: Fort Collins, Colorado - Seats 34,400 and is home to the Colorado State Rams. It's less than half hour from the airport. The stadium opened in 1967 and the playing surface is field turf.
Mackay Stadium: Reno, Nevada - Seats 31,000 and is home to the Nevada Wolf Pack. It's 10 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1966 and the playing surface is field turf.
Qualcomm Stadium: San Diego, California - Seats 71,294 and is home to the San Diego State Aztecs. It's less than 20 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1967 and the playing surface is natural grass.
Sam Boyd Stadium: Las Vegas, Nevada - Seats 36,800 (expandable to 40,000) and is home to the UNLV Rebels. It's 15 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1971 and the playing surface is field turf.
University Stadium: Albuquerque, New Mexico - Seats 39,224 and is home to the New Mexico Lobos. It's 10 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1960 and the playing surface is field turf (new this year).
War Memorial Stadium: Laramie, Wyoming - Seats 33,500 and is home to the Wyoming Cowboys. It's 10 minutes from the airport. The stadium opened in 1950 and the playing surface is field turf.
Note: Sam Boyd Stadium is also home to the Las Vegas Bowl where the Mountain West Conference champion plays after the season.
