BALTIMORE -- Junior swingman Justin Black had 23 points, six assists and four rebounds, leading visiting Morgan State to an 80-51 victory over Coppin State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Saturday at the Physical Education Complex. Junior center Ian Chiles added nine points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots for the Bears (7-13, 4-5 MEAC), who had lost three in a row and four of their last five. Junior forward Michael Murray had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles (5-20, 2-8), who have lost five in a row and nine of 11. Morgan State raced out to an 11-3 lead and never looked back. Coppin State cut the lead to 14-9 on Blake Bozeman's 3-pointer with 14:39 to play in the half, but the Bears mounted a 19-4 run to go up 33-14 with 4:44 remaining. Morgan State led 43-18 at intermission and continued to build its lead in the second half. The Eagles trimmed the deficit to 21 points when Collin Johnson scored with 13:57 to go, but the Bears pulled away again, leading by as many as 34 late in the second half.
