Yahoo Sports Minute:

Morgan State 76, Delaware State 64

The SportsXchange

Morgan State came back from a sluggish first half to knock off Delaware State, 76-64, in Baltimore on Saturday and spoil the head coaching debut for the Hornets' Keith Walker.

The Bears (7-12, 5-2 in the MEAC) trailed, 38-31, at halftime, but outscored the Hornets by 19 after intermission to end a two-game losing streak.

Morgan State did so by dominating the glass, outrebounding the Hornets, 41-29, and pulling down 21 offensive boards.

The Bears also turned the ball over only five times, while forcing 12 Delaware State miscues.

Center Ian Chiles led Morgan State with 24 points, and parlayed his aggressiveness down low into a 10-of-11 performance from the free throw line.

Guard Justin Black added 14 points for the Bears, and forward Cedric Blossom had 13 and 10 rebounds.

Walker was named the interim coach this week for Delaware State (4-16, 0-7), but it was a similar result to what the Hornets had been used to under former coach Greg Jackson.

The Hornets went down to their sixth loss in a row. Forward Casey Walker led the Delaware State with 14 points, and guard Tyshawn Bell added 12.
